After a 8 meters high textile installation paying tribute to the life story of portuguese grandmothers, Melanie Alves plans to interview and as many grandmothers as possible spreading her anthem “O Colo como Ativismo”!
Interviews
7 Portuguese grandmothers were interviewed about their life stories. Same questions were asked from their place of birth through their life hardships till present. 1st Memories of consciousness, smell and interactions with their late grandmothers and their now grandsons were recounted. Their ups and downs were shared along with how does it feel like in living in their own skin.
