"Game Over" for Whitewalls December Show 2014

I haven't had time yet to edit a video of my interactive piece/installation for Whitewalls group show but, in the meantime, here are some pictures of "Game over". To give an insight of what went down that night, The mother deer and fawn toy soldiers sculptures were initially all white and there was a gold gun pointing at them. The viewer was allowed to shoot ink at both deers till supply of ink lasted (colors chosen by the artist).

I partnered up with Feral city to make "Courageous" tees

I'm so excited with "Courageous" lion tees and tanks! Already have a white tank and a blue tee but might have to get it in all colors- grey, blue, green and white. Feral city just started making them but soon tees will be available online and at Wonderland sf. But if interested I can put you on a waiting list.

For women and men. Here are some pics of my white tank.

Diary of a society

After over 40 shows in 3 years I have decided I need time to hide out in my studio and work hard on my newest project "Diary of a Society"- which will include paintings, sculptures and installations.

It's still pretty top secret so I will not disclose much about it yet but here are some WIP of painting #1

exciting times!!! M

Wonderland sf 4th year anniversary

For Wonderland sf anniversary the theme was that every artist would have to work on same size 16x16.

Here is "Human Nature"- my Homo Sapiens mountain with toy soldiers crawling to the surface.

Fashion design collab with Nicole Bell

Finally I stretched my time so I could hand paint on clothes designed and created by fashion designer Nicole Bell. Sigh, if I only I could keep all the clothes for myself...

All the pieces are one of a kind as they are all hand painted and different designs. If interested contact me or go try them on at Wonderland sf boutique and gallery, 1266 Valencia st, SF, CA.

"Home" group exhibition at Modern Eden

Every artist was given a birdhouse to make their own interpretation of the theme "Home".

For a while I've been wanting to make a sculpture of children in trivial daily actions, such as sitting, playing, etc... So the first thought that came to my mind was to make a child with a birdhouse head.

"To Serve and Protect" is my 2 year old life size Child sculpture made of toy soldiers assemblage with a gold birdhouse head and a white bird on his left hand. This artwork talks about the fragile boundary between big dualities such as attacker/victim, offender/defender and how Reality is as real as a white pegasus. What we all live and experience is perspectives of Reality- like our reflection on broken glass shattered on the floor.

When our soldiers go to war, the biggest dream they have is to come back HOME safely but while they are at war they will be eventually destroying someone else's HOME.

"Haute Couture" group show at Wonderland SF

I was invited to make an artwork for Wonderland sf group show an hommage to Haute Couture.

I was excited with the challenge but wanted to somehow make sure the piece I would create would still make sense with my concept and overall message.

Here are some pics of my "To Die for" art piece. Hope you like it as much as I do. Unfortunately I didn't have time to take better pics and this work is already in a new home.

enjoy...M
